A team of adventurous colleagues from PIB Risk Management took on this year’s Tough Mudder 5k challenge at Belvoir Castle in Grantham on 5 July — all to raise funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity in Sheffield.
A Muddy Day for a Meaningful Cause
The course featured a series of tough obstacles including Pyramid Scheme, Block Ness Monster and Funky Monkey. Despite the mud, cold water and slippery climbs, the team pushed through — raising an incredible £3,380 (and counting) for a cause close to their hearts.
Who Took Part
The team included Adrian and Helen Robinson, Amelia Garnett, Molly Andrews, Mel Smith, Carta Basford, Sarah Browne, Mecia Brockhouse, Rachel McKean, Laura Greasby, Tyla Sagar and Rhiannon Hammond-Jones. Each brought energy, determination and a lot of laughter to the challenge.
“I wanted to do it all again”
Reflecting on the day, team member Sarah Browne said:
“I was most looking forward to the finish line, but when I got there, I wanted to do it all again! Each one of us pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones (thanks to adrenaline and endless support from our teammates!) but knowing it was all for such an important cause incredibly close to my heart made every ache and smelly puddle worth it.”
Supporting People Living with Cancer
All donations go directly to Weston Park Cancer Charity to support people living with cancer and their families, and to fund vital cancer research. Every muddy step helped make a difference.
Well Done, Team!
Huge congratulations to everyone who took part. You’ve gone the extra mile — and then some.
